Holy cow!! Its been ALONG time since I posted anything! As most of you know I got a new job "DREAM JOB" I'm livin the high life of a flight attendant for SkyWest and LOVING every minute of it. I have already got to go to some cool places like Winnipeg and London Ontario Canada I have also spent a night in Tuscan AZ, Albuquerque NM, Springfield MO, Colorado Springs CO, Atlanta GA and Aspen CO. Tonight I'm back in Colorado Springs and as of right now tomorrow night ill sleep in Rochester MN and then Thursday night in Fargo ND. I was gonna do a catch up post and post some pictures but when I went to get my memory card adapter thing it wasn't there.... its in Utah so ill put pictures up soon! Just thought I would do a little update while I had a minute.

While there sisters were playin volleyball at Provo High I took them to the little store in Provo. They had so much fun dressing up in all the AWESOME hats and just had to accessorize with the purses and scarfs!

St. George (again)

We took a quick little trip to St.George to watch Salem Hills and Spanish Fork volleyball play.

Brooklyn was exhausted and cuddled up to mommy and the baby (Britton)

Spanish made it to the championship game so while we were sitting there they started to pull the tape off the ground and Brooklyn and Brayden thought that it looked like fun so they were the helpers and helped do the whole gym!

I just LOVE this little girl SO much. I cant even imagine life without her.

They were such good helpers and had so much fun doin it!

For Onion Days this year the Wride, Troyer and Hadlock family arrange to have pig wrestling. It was so awesome and we cant wait to do it again next year!

this is right after we got out or the ring LOL I did a little dive at the end and got a mouth and eye full and so thats whats up with the face (im tryin to not puke for the picture)

Andrea was sweet enough to agree to go to Ikea with me to look for some house stuff. The kids did great.

Brayden is into trains and cars right now so we found him the train play table thing and he LOVED it.

Brooklyn even played on it till we made them leave.

The only way we could get Brayd away was to let him hold a set that Andrea ended up buying.

They found this canopy bed and thought it was the coolest thing ever hahaha to be a little kid again.

Me Nikki and 2 friends moved into a town home over in Springville and it was ALL one color (likd off white creamish) so Amber came over to help me add some color YEAH. We did the kitchen RED and the front room a light brownish color (those pictures coming soon)

So I should have posted this awhile ago but forgot I took these pictures till just now. I got to teach the AWESOMEST (word ?? LOL) group of kids. I was really nervous at 1st cause there was a lot of them but I loved every minute of teaching them. They are 10 turning 11. We had some great little chats about their life's and feelings for the church. This is such a strong group of kids and those boys goin to make great missionaries some day. Sadly when I moved I had to give them up to a new teacher :( We had a little goodbye swim party at my house. I think all of them but 2 showed up. Here they are the BEST primary class ever!!

So Allee Tucket wanted to ride "the banana" all the time. She was so cute they would sing this song about not holding on so that is when this picture was taken. By the was she is only 3. So cute.

This was a wild ride!! When Jan flipped us off Nikki and Cami hit each other hard and then my chin gave Becca a dead butt and I thought it knocked my teeth out but they are all still there!! Oh what a good trip.

So we had a mad game of horse shoes goin on... The boys spent alot of time makin the pits just perfect we even measured to make sure they were legal we then had a tourney and me and Dave were on a team and kicked some BUTT! We ended up winning Jan and I think Tyler (in the dark they would hold a spot light on the pole we were throwing to) Jan ended up hitting my horseshoe a hair closer then his for the win LOL

Jack had the best seat for the tourney I just love that kid what a hoot.

Golf Cart Ride

We went on a golf cart drive at the oaks and had a blast.

So Nikki and Aly found this rock and they decided to take some funny pictures on it so me bein the good sister I am decided to walk down the mountain to get a better angle. Right as I stepped my feet came out from under me and down the mountain I went...on my butt!!! I was tryin to protect the cameras so I was holding them up in the air which gave me no hands to stop my self LOL I had my phone in my pocket and now because of it I have a BIG bruise on butt/leg. Hahahaha good times.

They wanted to see if they could make it look like they were holdin the windmills, it just looks like they are standing in front of a back drop.

My dad found this HUGE club somewhere and Brayden LOVES it. He is already a natural golfer.

West Fork 4th of July

We took a quick little trip up to the West Fork on the 4th. Growing up it was tradition for the WHOLE Brown side of the family to go up. Its a little sheep herders cabin the my Great Great Grandpa build around 1942. It has a kitchen with a wood burning stove and then two little original rooms. (they have since added one more little room) Me, Nikki, Dad, Diann, Aunt Jackie, Leslie (cousin) and her little boy Hunter crammed in the truck and headed up (6 am). We got up there as everyone was wakin up and had breakfast with them! The best breakfast ever is cooked with no electricity and all on the wood burning stove that was originally put in 67 some years ago.

This is some of the group startin breakfast.

Me, Dad, Diann and my Uncle Mark went on a LONG but AWESOME horse ride.

While on the ride we found this tree that my grandma carved hers and my grandpas name in ALONG time ago. It was so fun to find it. She is amazing she would carve in cursive. (I cant even do it in block letters and have it nice LOL)

On our way back we found my Uncle Joel and grandma on a 4 wheeler ride.

My grandma is SO SO happy when she is up at the West Fork. (she is always happy but EXTRA happy when she is up there)

I love this picture there is snow but if you look below the snow in the middle of the picture there are yellow flowers. It is also a tradition to find snow banks and sled down them. (we didnt do it this time cause we didnt have time :(

Wings of Freedom

So the Provo Airport had the Wings of Freedom Tour come and do there museum thing. They decided to make into a HUGE deal. Million Air (Me and Amy) grilled hot dogs (ALL DAY for 2 days) UVU gave out plates and napkin Alpine Air gave out drinks and then the airport manager did brownies!! It was a BIG success. We served over 1,500 hot dogs in 2 days and we figured that only about half the people here ate. It was such a fun event and we cant wait to do it again next year!

The cleaning of the pool and hot tub!!

What we discovered when we pulled the cover off the hot tub!!

So I stood in the boat to power wash off the deep end so that we could reach it. Nikki ended up tying ropes the the ends of the boat and holding me close to the edge, there were a few time that she pulled it fast and almost dumped me in (not gonna lie I would have been TICKED!!) Look at the color of the water can you imagine fallin in it.....

The shallow end after bein drained there was so much crap on the bottom is was so sick!

So last summer since we didn't get it goin we decided to put some fish in it... this is Aly and Lewter goin to save them from gettin sucked up in the pump... Nikki acted like she was gonna push Aly in (oh the good laughs that happened that day.)

P.S. The fish were saved and now have a new home @ Spanish Oaks Golf Course!!

Fishing Day

My dads friend Paul started this fishing day thing where the handicapped kids in the valley and beyond come for a day and get to fish and have lunch. It started out up at Payson Lakes like 15-16 years ago with like 200 kids. It grew so fast that they now do it at Salem Pond and Albertsons sponsors all the food and the fish and game come and help the kids and make sure they all catch one. They also gut them and send them home with the kids. It is such a neat thing to be apart of and watch grow. This year they served around 2,000 lunches.

Andrea and I took the kids for support this year (my Dad and Aaron were cooking for it) Brooklyn took this picture and she even got all 3 of us in it can you believe that!!

St. George Fun

I have been wanting to go to St. George for the longest time (hadn't been in like a year) so me and Andrea planned a week end and went and had the best time.

I took Carlee and Chelsie with us and they met these 2 way cute little friends at the pool.

Brooklyn got her shorts wet so she took them off and just ran around in her undies (oh to be little again) it was so funny.

Brayden was just sun tanning (it lasted like .05 sec)

While at the outlets I decided to take some pictures and told the kids to look at me. Carlee and Chelsie did a little pose and as soon as Brooklyn seen them she had to do one also SO DANG CUTE.

Brooklyn and Brayden didn't want to swim so they just ran around this table and followed each other crawling under it. They had so much energy just watching them made me tired.

Andrea bought A Goofy Movie on the way down and the kids watched it like 10 time in between all the stuff we did.

The kids did so good, once we got Brayden this mitt he was in heaven and just sat in the stroller the whole time and didn't make a noise.

At first Brooklyn wanted to ride in the stroller and Brayden wanted to push her all by himself, he is such a strong little guy.

I love his little smile, I'm sure this is when he snuck over and put a knife in my purse that I just found yesterday.... LOL

I am so thankful for Nikki she has and does put up with ALOT from me.

I am so glad that she let me drag her to Kenya. It was so special to have her there with me to experience all the great things that she heard me talking about for so long

She did so good with the kids. She would talk to them, even though they didn't understand what we were say half the time.

She would pick up any kid or baby that would let her pick up or wanted picked up.

She is such a fun person to have around and can (almost) always make me laugh

The next person is my dear sweet mom I love her and miss her SO SO SO much

She was such a trooper. The Christmas right before she died we took one last family trip to Disneyland and she went on almost everything there just for the memory, even though she was in alot of pain. She also was smiling the whole time.

When she was in pain she would grab her sucker and just keep going. (the suckers were her pain meds, you can see it in her hand here.)

Oh and here. But she is still smiling even with the sucker in her mouth

Nikki was really sick on our way to California and my mom just sat and rubbed her back and held her hair for her even though she herself was not well. Like I said I MISS HER SO MUCH. I have been wanting to do a post just about her but don't have the strength to do it right now so be watching it will be up one of these days~!

Church in Mombasa

So every time we go to Kenya we drive in from the village to attend church (they dont have it YET out in the village) its about a 1 to 1 1/2 hour drive. It is so cool to see the church is the same even all the way around the world. The little girl in the video is singing out of the Children's Song Book it is so cute.

Evelyn Brown School

We decided to raise some money and build a school in Kenya in my dear moms name.It is a village called Vikolani. Here are some pictures that Nikki and I took while we were there. Its kind of cool it started out as just a kindergarten ran by Koins and is now a government recognized school.

Vikolani is putting out some of the smartest kids right now and im not just sayin that out of prejudice they really are some of the smartest. Last year Koins had 4 boys that passed there final exam to get into a college and 3 of them were from Vikolani!!!!YEAH

This is the work the teacher was giving them they are adding "chairs" but dont really know what chairs are. Notice there "chairs" are logs.

This is the kids showin me there homework they were so proud of them self's.

This is the building where they used to attend until we build the other one. There is only one teacher and there are 64 kids.

This is the restroom that all 64 kids and the rest of the village use when they are walkin by.

These are our ladies caring our water notice the middle one is going to add another addition to the Evelyn Brown School.

This is it on one of the 1st days before they plastered it and started our 2nd edition.

These are the ladies that were caring the water for the school. They are so amazing one of them was like 8 months pregnant. The water hole was about a mile and a half away and they would carry water on their heads non stop for about 8 hours. Im so thankful for them, with out them the school would not have been able to be built.

Kenya

I love Kenya and the people of Kenya!!! I have made 3 trips over to the same village and im addicted. These are some pictures of my last trip. (Oct. 2007) Nikki joined me for this trip as well.

So we had a lady that went with us that wanted to teach the women to sew. That way they could sew there own school uniforms and make money rather then having to buy them. This is Mama Fatuma she did so good at it.

This is at the little local clinic. I got to spend a few hours in there with the dr. and watch how they do thing. WOW very interesting!!!

This is baby Zuma his mom was in the sewing class so we got to play with him alot. It was funny the 1st day she brought him all bundled up with like 5 layers and beanie on (it was like 95 with humidity at 80) so we striped him down.

This is before we took his clothes off isnt he just so dang cute!!

So this thing was out in the middle of the field and we figured out that it was there "basketball hoop" its crazy while we were over there we learned that the boys play soccer and the girls play basketball. This picture is Nikki showing them how to do it. I love this picture it was taken at just the right time as the ball was goin through.

This is one of the school that Koins replaced that is actually a wall not the door.

This is how all of the babies over there are raised. They are on there mothers back through everything. This lady was helping to do the foundation for the Sean Michael's special needs school. These ladies are AMAZING to say the least.

This little girl was at the SM school with her mom and I was talkin to Nikki and Megan and said that she is so cute I could take her home with us, little did I know our translator was tellin the mom everything I was sayin and asked me if I would please take her, that she would run back to her (grass) hut and pack up her things and be back not to go anywhere that I could take her if I would give her a good life and send her to school. It was so hard to explain to her that I would love to take her but I couldnt. Its crazy that these mothers will do anything to give there kids a better life even if it means they will never see them again.

This is a class room. These kids sit there for 8 hours a day rain or shine and learn. Remember the temperatures get extremely high. e have it so easy here in the states.

This is Nikkis little friend she met at the SM school. They told us that she was mute and that was why she was goin to be attending. Well little did we find out she isnt mute at all. Bret picked her up and started throwing and spinning her around and she started to squeal at the top of her lungs and giggle it was so fun to see that part of her come out. She latched on to Nikki and just snuggled her and wouldnt let her put her down. It was fun to see Nikki interact with her.

Day 5, 6, 7, and 8

So I didnt do a very good job the last 4 days so here are all 4 days in one post (and I cant remember what day was what)

This is just another bath time and Brookly was showin me how to wink but I want fast enough to get the whole thing (Nikki taught her how a few weeks ago and its so cute)

I just love this little guy to pieces

They love the bath tub until its time to get out

Brayden was really into tellin Brooklyn something

So Brayden would never sit still to let me clean his hands and face off after a meal or treat so I found out that he loves to sit and play so that is how get got clean after every thing he ate!!

Brooklyn was bein silly and found this cardboard and discovered that it was a little sticky and when I saw her and laughed she loved it so she kept entertaining me

OKAY so we were watchin American Idol and the kids did really well (actually Brooklyn told me last night during the super bowl that she wants to watch American Idol again)

well any way Nikki would get in there little place house under the stairs and jump out the little window and scare the kids and amazingly they loved it and wanted her to keep doin it It was so funny listen to there cute little belly laughs!!!

Day 4

Brayden tellin me that he liked his lunch (well the meat in the middle)

So I had to wash Braydens blanket and he was not to happy with me.

It was so sad he just sat and watched it almost the whole time that it was in the dryer.

I couldnt convince him with anything to get him away from the dryer.

When it beeped and was done he couldnt get the door open fast enough it was so funny

This was taken right when I put it in. It was a little traumatic.

He was so ticked off at me for takin it away.

Day 3

Day 3 started alot better!!!

the kids LOVE the bath tub until its time to wash the hair and then they scream bloody murder (this was before the hair washin)

Brayden kept on peaking over the tub to look at Nikki it was so funny

This poor little guy cant keep his pants up. He was sayin "tuck"(stuck) and we turned around and this is what we saw!

So we were watchin TV and the dish went out cause of the snow so instead of us crawling up on the roof and falling off we used this PVC pipe. Hey what ever works right?!?

He really enjoyed his dinner I cant believe how much he ate. (1 1/2 big pieces of lasagna, like 10 green beans a few spoon fulls of corn and half a piece of garlic cheese bread) and he still looses his pants

Day 2

Remember how they trusted us with the house...... Well our 2nd day started out with a little oops!!!!!

At about 6:30 am we heard a huge bang and me and Nikki jumped out of bed (we thought one of the kids was up and pulled something over) we went runnin to find out what was goin on and we found Aly in the bathroom hunched over the sink and she told us that she had just passed out. Well see this "little" hole it was made with her head when she hit.

We didnt see it right away and when Brooklyn woke up I took her into the bathroom and she looked at me with big eyes and said "oohh... what happened???" I couldnt believe it was done with her head. (she still has a sore head hehehehe)

Brooklyn and Brayden both have little head colds. Brooklyn likes to take lots of naps (watching movies)

Day 1

Aaron and Andrea took off to Hawaii for 8 days and they are trusting me and Nikki with the kids and the house (they are brave LOL) I told Andrea I would blog pictures of her kids everyday for her, well we are goin on day 3 and this is the 1st post sorry Andrea.

We spent the 1st day just hangin out and then we went and watched Nikki coach the kids did alot better then I thought they would. They both wanted snuggles at the same time so I did what I had to! wow im gettin good.

Brayden was so cute the whole time.

Brooklyn loved me takin pictures of her I kept tellin her I was gonna send them to mommy and she would do a new pose. She was so excited to put her hood on and get a picture and then look at it.

So the day after Christmas I was drivin to work at 6:30 a.m. and my windshield wipers were iced over and I had tried many times to just reach out my window and flip them to get it off (like my dad taught me) It wasnt workin so I decided that I should get out and clean them off before I got on the freeway. I pulled in the Shop Ko parking lot and when I went to get out of my car I shut my finger in the door. It took 3 pulls to get my door opened. When I first looked at my finger it just looked like I had a crease in it and then it started to bleed!! I only had 1 napkin in my car and bled through it in .2 sec. The only place opened that early was Sonic the food place so I pulled up to the window catching the blood in my other hand and the kid came to the window as I was dumping it off my hand. (he was a little shocked, bet he doesnt see that very often) he got me a cup of water and some towels and helped me wrap it and I then drove the rest the way to work. When I got to work Life Flight just happened to be there cause it was snowin. So I had them look at it and they cleaned it out the best they could and told me to go get it stitched up so I did. (first stitches of my life)

This is after they had cleaned it up and gettin ready to do the stitches (it looks amazing in this picture) Thanks for takin pictures Nikki.

Im a little late posting these sorry I just couldnt let these fun things go with out gettin posted.
Thanksgiving was great this year my aunt in heber had dinner at her house and then after all the kids and I went to her gym and played forever. These are come of the kids that were there playin. THANKS AUNT BEV!!

so these things hangin from the top are like big rubber bands and you put on this harness thing and hook as many of them as you need to hold you up. (I took all of them i think) any way they are for people to learn how to do flips and stuff but we used them to fling each other though the air. This is Kentton on his ride by his dad.

Even the little kids had fun doin it. Britt was so brave and did really good.

So we had this military airplane come in and stay the night. The pilots were so awesome!

They even let m take a tour of it and sit in the cock pit.

Im so proud of this picture I took notice that the wheels are just off the ground.

I just had to show some pictures of Brayden he is gettin to be so much fun he is such a happy little boy. When you show him a camera he starts to smile and say "cheese" its so dang cute!

We took the kids to Arctic Circle to get the flashlights (brayden loved the ice cream)

For Bob and Karens 25th anniversary they decided to head to Park City and so I stayed with the kids. Britni and Kylee went to the football game on Friday night so me chelsie and carlee decided to make sugar cookies!!! So the 3 of us stared and did one batch and as they were decorating Kylee called and said that her and her friends were comin up and wanted to decorate cookie with us so I hurried and make another batch.

So I was playin coed softball and I was on 2nd(runnin) and there was a pop fly out to center so I tagged up and turned to see where the ball was and right as I turned the guy threw it (15 feet away from me) an he hit me right in the cheek-eye area. It broke my cheek in 3 places and also broke my nose. That was 5 weeks ago and im doin great now and played my 1st game last night yeah!!! My eye is just still bloody but thats all.
